Supporting Families
Health for All has worked to support disadvantaged families since it was established in 1991.
Partnership work with local family nurseries in south Leeds led to support for a range of support groups for parents with young children. This led to Health for All's role as a founder partner in the Surestart programmes and subsequent delivery of Intensive Family Support to families served by Early Years Children's Centres.
Partnership work again with Health & Early Years professionals led to the organisation of Summer Playschemes for children, which, alongside support groups for children affected by domestic violence and poor mental health, laid the foundations for the Health for All Children's Project.
