About Health for All

Ball pond

Health for All (Leeds) Ltd is a charitable company limited by guarantee established in 1991. We are a community health development organisation and provide services to individuals, families and communities across the city.

We are linked with a number of organisations and endeavour to publish a range of useful documents.

Trustee Board: An active Trustee Board comprising representatives of statutory and voluntary agencies and local communities served, is elected each year at the AGM, which is regularly attended by more than 300 people. Health for All strives to be an open, accountable and democratic organisation supporting 85 community groups.

Premises: Groups and services are delivered from seven locations within the hearts of communities, to provide easy access to local people. The locations are largely community premises rescued from dereliction and disuse, revived and refurbished with support from the local authority and other funders.

Staff Team: Health for All employs more than 100 staff managed by a team of Project Managers and a Senior Management Team.

Partnerships: Health for All works in close partnership with statutory agencies - including Leeds City Council and NHS Leeds - to deliver services to disadvantaged communities. These affiliations are of immense importance and value to the organisation, as are its partnerships with local people, individuals, families and community groups. Health for All believes that the people within the local community are experts on their own needs and experiences and so works with local people to provide appropriate services. Health for All also works with other voluntary organisations with similar values in delivering specific services including Family Support.
