The original Tenants Hall was opened in 1955, paid for by Middleton residents. Still providing a home for local community groups, enterprises, events and charities, Tenants Hall is our flagship centre in Middleton, South Leeds. The original building was fully refurbished with funding of £1.6 million from the national Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) and the European Union European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The centre is a multi-use and multi-functional space which operates as our main office and from where our support services staff work. There are a number of areas within the centre which can be hired for events and activities. Please read below for more information on each:
Our Main Hall
The main hall is our largest space – accommodating up to 150 people. It can be hired for a wide range of activities and split into two separate areas if needed. We also have a specially designed sprung floor which is ideal for any dance related activities.
The Multi-purpose Room
Suitable for a wide range of different activities our multi-purpose room includes a kitchen, toilets and enclosed outdoor area. The space can accommodate up to 50 people.
Accessible Office Space
Our range of office suites are ideal for community, social enterprises or charity organisations. Fully furnished and with access to a communal kitchen they enable you to set up and go!
Tenants Hall Meeting Rooms
Tenants Hall meeting rooms can accommodate groups of between four and 12 people and can be hired with tea and coffee facilities, a flip chart and whiteboards.
